The Cadre Francophone des Certifications (French-speaking qualifications framework) is a public interest framework and is regulated by the public authorities: the CFC ranks qualifications that are recognised and validated by the public authorities, as the competent authorities, and that originate from public institutions or those pursuing public interest missions.

The CFC is an eight-level framework compatible with the EQF. As an integrative framework, the CFC targets both education and vocational qualifications.

Academic recognition of higher education degrees held by refugees

In line with the LRC provisions, the legislation on academic recognition has been revised in order to provide some specific measures for refugees and beneficiaries of the subsidiary protection such as:
-  free of charge procedure;
-  alternative procedure for applicants that are unable to present relevant documentation.
