Webinar "Reaching the automatic recognition of secondary school leaving qualifications: Mission possible" held on 26 November 2020 at 14:00-15:30 CET in virtual modality

 

Automatic recognition of secondary school leaving qualifications is among the top priority within the ENIC-NARIC networks/countries as pointed out by the Council Recommendations on Automatic Mutual Recognition. One crucial point to enhance automatic recognition is to foster knowledge of qualifications giving access to Higher Education, and to support Higher Education Institutions in this task. The workshop will present the result of the Erasmus+ project Q-ENTRY - International Database on Higher Education Entry Qualifications database and will present good practices at national level in supporting automatic recognition of qualifications giving access to higher education. Q-ENTRY database has been designed and thought within the with the aim of fostering the automatic recognition of secondary school leaving qualifications by collecting, organising and providing firsthand information. Furthermore there will be a focus on international qualifications, such as European Baccalaureate and International Baccalaureate.

 

Learning outcomes

  • Knowledge of recent updates on the policies and practices at national, regional and international level concerning automatic recognition of secondary school qualifications

  • Knowledge of the available tools and instruments, such as the Q-ENTRY database

  • Knowledge of characteristics and key elements of International Baccalaureate and European Baccalaureate
